"It is a good rule to face difficulties at
the time they arise and not allow them to increase unacknowledged."

know that teachers are the key to good child care - and as long as teachers are
undervalued, American children, too, will keep getting less than they
deserve." Marcy Whitebook
"It’s
in early childhood education that I was able to really see what a unique
opportunity we have in working with children we as professionals in the early childhood
field we have an opportunity to shape a child’s life for the better so that’s what
makes me passionate." – Sandy Escobido
"Every
day I go to work I look forward to it because I know the services that I provide
to children it’s to their benefit it’s not anything that’s going to benefit me
its more to them." – Raymond Hernandez
Tonya,
ReplyDeleteI really like the quote from Edward Ziegler. I think this applies to every aspect of your life. It is very similar to "bed news doesn't get better with time" and "why put off for tomorrow what you can get done today."
I also reviewed Marcy Whitebook. She is very inspirational and reading about her and her mission/vision energizes me about the value we place on teachers. If you haven't read it, her keynote speech from May 3, 2012, to the
T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® and Child Care WAGE$® National Symposium is incredible. Below is the link if you get a chance to read it.

Marcy Whitebook is amazing... Any woman who can stand up and fight for the betterment of children and educators who love these students the most is great in my eyes. The quote you choice by her is amazing and it definitely speaks for all educators.
ReplyDeleteI loved the quote you picked from the video " Passion for Early Childhood" . I too look forward to going to work everyday. I love the unknown challenges I may face and the accomplishments my students may make.
